the main research focus of this lab is river engineering - the study the physical mechanics of rivers and the outcomes of manipulating the physics on the chemistry and biology in these dynamic systems

within this focus, we observe and predict the response and recovery of stream systems to channel modification, flooding, disturbance, watershed activities, and restoration pratices, particularly in the links between channel morphology and aquatic ecology.
